The purposes of this innovative event are:

• To encourage creativity which is conscious of its impact on society and of its educational role.

• To bring to the forefront visual communication which is enriching and carries a positive message for evolving humanity.

• To celebrate the films that inspire us, encourage us, and send us from the theatre with a greater sense of happiness, possibility and hope for the future.

 In other terms, we want films creating a feeling of wellbeing.
Films which inspire joy, enthousiasm, peace.

Optimism, cheers, philanthropy, evolution, inspiration, are the words expressing the moving spirit of the Festival; and we could add: magic, beauty, light, spirituality…up to you !

All “image makers” whose films are motivated by the same inspiration are warmly invited to contact us and fill the form to send their films.

Fictions, documentaries, animation, art or experimental movies in a festival that’s opened to film and video makers (two categories)

Pondicherry is a place out of the ordinary. Multi-cultural by history ,this ‘tiny patch of the world’ is inhabited by a local and a moving population whose cosmopolitan aspects as well as traditional particularities partake in an amazing dynamism.

Pondy appears as one of the cradles of nowadays progress.
A human progress, realistic and inspired.
Progress which takes roots in a multi millennial civilization and whose ancestral and visionary wisdom wears the colours of grace and efficiency.

We choose this city of south India to set up the first Pondicherry/Puducherry International Film Festival because we found there a multitude of factors which are very propitious to the success of this original and promising event.

The increasing popularity of the place with an international public which is as rich as various by means of interest and activity fields makes this choice all the more interesting for our partners also.

The film festival is going to be at least one week long and the films are going to be shown in different parts of the town as well as around it, in open air and in halls. Prizes and awards will be given depending on the contribution of our partners.Their names will be put up on the net very soon.

The partnership is open to all types of institutions, companies, organisations, foundations, etc, in India as well as abroad.
Production companies, tourist agencies, and other local as well as foreign firms are also linked to this project.
